There are so many ways to help support Richey Elementary PTO. Everything listed below directly benefits Richey Elementary School. The PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so donations are tax-deductible. If you have any questions or would like to help in a different way, please contact the PTO at richeypto@gmail.com.

Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers to help plan and run our events, organize staff and student appreciation, and more. To find out how to volunteer, check out our Volunteering Page.

Community Partners Program

Each year we are looking for businesses or individuals who would like to become Community Partners with Richey PTO. We have 3 different tiers of sponsorship available. For more information or to see our current sponsors, please check out our Community Partners Program.

Cash Donation

Don’t have time to volunteer or shop for a donation?! Cash donations are always welcome. These can be made at our PTO Meetings or events, in a sealed envelope in our PTO mailbox in the front office, or electronically. Any checks should be made out to “Richey Elementary PTO Corporation.” To make an electronic donation, please click here. There is a minimum of $10.00 to make an electronic donation. If you would like to mail a donation, our address is 105 E. Highland Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19804.

Feed Richey Teachers and Staff

If you would like to donate a meal or dessert for our teachers and staff at Richey, please contact the PTO to coordinate at richeypto@gmail.com. This could be breakfast, lunch, a snack, desserts, etc. You could also stock the teachers’ lounge with coffee pods, snacks, and more. Our staff loves free food! We have approximately 65 staff members.

Treats for Our Students

If you would like to donate a treat for our students, please contact the PTO to coordinate at richeypto@gmail.com. This could be a book, Richey spirit wear, a snack, etc. It will need to get approval from the school. We have approximately 385 students currently. If you are donating something, keep in mind that you would need to include all of our students.

Restock the Classrooms

Richey is always in need of school supplies. Here are just a few of the items that they could use:  EXPO markers, tissues, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, pencils (preferably sharpened), headphones, paper towels, and more. Here is an Amazon Wish List with some of the school supplies needed.

Help Stock our Little Free Library

Richey PTO is so excited for our brand new little free library for our school. It is located right by the front entrance. We are always looking for new or used books to stock it with. We are specifically looking for books appropriate for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, including picture books, leveled readers, easy and harder chapter books, non-fiction books, and graphic novels.
